The other day while playing around on the internet I found a new site for me. The Fountain Pen Network. It is full of images and discussions about my #1 passion - the Fountain Pen. I submitted this image of my everyday use pens. Also in the case is a spare house key and a 1913 Wheat penny receive a couple weeks ago as change. Now who would let a wheat penny go, let alone one that old.
It's a beautiful weekend and I'm going to enjoy it! You do the same with your day.

FPN is a fantastic community - I'll see you over there. They're a very welcoming bunch.
Hi Granny, I have a question about your favorite Green Pelikan 1935 Limited Pen. I just bought one myself and was wondering if yours came with a super smooth Fine nib? Mine is a little scratchy and I was wondering if I needed to have it serviced. Also, does yours write a little bit wetter than the other regular Pelikan nibs? I find that my Limited writes a bit wetter than my M600 Pelikan.
Anonymous,
The nib on my 1935 is what I would call a superior nib! It is as smooth as a babies back side. Yes, get your serviced. I hear the folks at nibs.com are fabulous for this. Mind does write a little wet, and for the most part I relly like a little wetter nib. I typically use paper that is absorbant and if I don't use a wet nib the words don't stand out on the page.
If your M600 isn't wet enough for you, have it serviced, also. Like I said, I like them a little wetter than most.
Good luck with this and do, by all means, enjoy your Pelikan Pens.
Oh, thanks. I actually like mine a bit on the dry side. I don't like to wait for it to dry. Also, I don't like it when it bleeds through.
I think my M600 is just right. I have sent my 1935 back to Pelkan for a nib exchange. It had to go all the way back to Germany for that because, ChartPak, the U.S. distributor, don't stock these special nibs. Anyway, I'll let you know if it comes back smooth.
BTW, I also just bought the Blue version of the 1935! I actually like the blue a bit more than the Green. The Blue was also sent to ChartPak for a nib exchange since it had a Medium nib.
I think these nib are wetter because they're 18k and have been worked on by hand to write that way. Hopefully, the ones I get back are not TOO WET?
